The NHCPE research subcommittee was founded in 2023 to develop strategic supports to increase research capacity of the counselling profession in Australia. It is a subcommittee made up of counselling education leaders from colleges and universities around Australia.
Achievements to date include:
Identifying research building capacity strategies based from consultations with key academics, peak bodies, journal editors, and informed by relevant scholarship.
Submission of a journal article, written by subcommittee members, to distribute findings. Currently under review.
Interviews with Australian counselling researchers uploaded to the NHCPE YouTube site.
Hosted a Q&A with UK counselling researchers to help inform Australia, and making it available on YouTube.
Developed a Counselling Research Community of Practice.
Disemminating research strategies and information via the NHCPE website Research pages.
