The National Heads of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (NHCPE) is an independent network whose aim is to support the development of counselling and psychotherapy higher education programs within Australia and to offer advice as an expert panel to professional associations and to government. The network is made up of a wide representation of senior academics from public and private higher education institutions across Australia.

The NHCPE currently meets bi-monthly online. These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss matters of relevance to the provision of quality counselling and psychotherapy education, with an overall aim of contributing positively to the counselling and psychotherapy profession in Australia.
