About the speaker:
Shannon Hodges is Professor Emeritus of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) at Niagara University and Discipline Lead and Associate Professor of Counselling at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Shannon has 40 years in the mental health profession, providing teaching, counselling, training, and consultation on six continents. His authored books include Creating a meaningful life: A practical guide for counselors, therapists, and other helping professionals, The Counseling practicum and internship manual: A resource for graduate counseling students (4th Ed.), The Professional Counselor: Challenges and opportunities. He has also authored numerous articles and wrote a column for Counseling Today. He has keynoted several national and international conferences and has been awarded for his research, teaching, and leadership. Shannon is a longtime member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
